It could be a great app if user could import own books, documents and PDF. Please consider this feature to make this app really useful.

Euros 1,59+3,99 for the italian language Add on and is always crashing...please fix it soon with a nice update or send me my money back! Crasha continuamente,spero risolvano in fretta,complessivamente ben fatto,da migliorare secondo me lo scorrimento delle pagine e qualche altro bug...al momento crasha troppo spesso,spero in un update che risolva.

Text to speech on iPad, perfect sync, help online for PDF ePub conversion and import... One of my best apps! Fluent reading, never thought possible!

Screenshots show clearly the possibility to choose different languages but once downloaded one discovers that 5€ is just for the default language. If you want to switch to another language, then you are asked to pay another 5€. This is the worst purchase experience on App Store ever had and I will ask for refund. Not serious at all.

I really like this app for the simplicity and practicality . In my case was always stable w minimum crashes. So its not the magic that is very convenient way to get a review on any book

$4.99 for just the app.... & separate purchase if you want it to actually read to you.... English must be purchased $4.99 and all other languages are separate charges.. Run your business right then maybe youll get some business. This should be the best out there...will be calling apple for this fraud business and get my money back...

Although I like this app, I would love to see a PDF Voice Reader version of this app or the ability to have PDFs read out loud within this application, but for the iPad. I bought your Mac version of PDV Voice Reader and would most definitely purchase an iPad version of the app. Thanks, J, Los Angeles

It took me a long time to figure out how to import my own .epub files, but after reading the instructions on the vbookz site carefully, especially step 3 about app file sharing which I never knew about, its a piece of cake and the web is full of free .epub books. The voices are definitely not great and it doesnt run in the background, but given that this is the only game in town, its a must have application for people who need to/love to listen to books.

i do not like this app the vocie in it is so bad i dont want to lessen to it..... all i can say is that i want my money back right now....

The vbookz app installs with a few dozen ebooks to get you started reading immediately. I am very pleased with how easy it is to download and use additional public domain ebooks. As other reviewers have noted, the computer generated voices reading the ebooks are monotone. But I find the voices speak clearly and are easily understood. My favorite Text To Speech (TTS) app for a computer is Ivona Reader. Vbookz is currently my favorite TTS app for the ipod/iphone. I definitely recommend vbookz to anyone that loves reading books while mobile, but is unable or unwilling to stare into a tiny iphone/ipod touch screen. I expect Vbookz could also be useful to small children learning to read. Overall this app is worth the price. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT Vbookz worked well with ebooks downloaded wirelessly from within the app. It worked poorly with epub books manually loaded from my calibre ebook management software. - Vbookz was limited to displaying only qty (70) ebooks loaded from my Calibre collection. - Vbooks was unable to display or correctly play most of those 70 ebooks (they are not DRM protected) . It might be helpful it Vbookz accepted ebooks in TEXT format. Also, I had to reboot (power off/ power on) the ipod after the initial installation. This reboot cleared a problem where the reader would get stuck after turning each page.

Complete waste of money. Animated voice Annoying.

The monotone robotic voice that places all of the "expressions" in the wrong places makes listening an annoying effort. I love the idea, but the technology has a looong way to go. Dont waste your money!

I spent a while downloading and once I had a book downloaded and started to listen I was so disappointed by how bad the audio was. It is worth just downloading a book off of itunes to hear a better voice. This voice is so chopping and robotic that i had to turn it off. I highly recommend not purchasing if you want to hear the audio. It is ok if you just want to read off your iphone or ipad.

The text-to-speech seems fine on the pre-installed books (most of the reviewers here clearly just have no idea what text-to-speech is). Its all the other problems. Importing books is unintuitive, and they usually dont work (showing only blank pages, saying "the language isnt supported" when the book is in English, or crashing the app). Moreover, if the app ever crashes, it will NEVER open again, even if you reboot the phone. The only option is to delete the app and reinstall, and re-send all your books. Installing the male voice causes the app to crash (and thus, never open again). Books are only shown in cover flow, but it doesnt recognize epub covers, so it generates identical generic covers for all books with the name of the book in tiny, tiny text (3 pixels high?) so its hard to even see what book youre choosing. After spending a few hours re-installing and syncing dozens of times without getting a single page to read without crashing I finally gave up. Ill hold onto it in the hopes they fix the problems, but theres an awful lot of them.

Extremely functional and very well designed. Just a beautiful app... I took the time to learn what it does and how to maximize it based on another review, and she was right. Its easy and awesome!

Application freezes on my IPad2. Intensely irritating background musical accompaniment. All in all, a total waste of time and money.

The description of the app leads u to believe existing eBooks and PDFs will work...they dont! After not seeing away to import my files, I went to the support page and found it will not work with pretty much anything else. Ive never wished I could get a refund so much before.
